 Gedichteabend @ the Ambassador's Cafe
Due to popular demand, our school organized another German poetry night last August 7, 2010 at 5 PM. The venue this time was at the Ambassador’s Café situated at Corner Rosal & Tojong Street #168 in Camputhaw, Lahug, Cebu City. The night was quite spectacular as many students chose to render a song instead of a poem. The themes of poems ranged from very romantic to dramatic death. Present were also some foreign guests and visitors connected to the institute. The highlight of the evening was the rendtion of the famous poem by Goethe "Nähe des Geliebten" which was presented by the group A1-N26.

Gedichteabend
SIC hosted another German poetry night last Saturday on June 26, 2010. This event was open to the public. Featured were our very students and teachers to render their poetic contributions via poetry, prose or song.

Last Saturday, March 20, 2010, SIC held another Gedichteabend, featuring our very students and teachers to render their poetic contributions to accentuate another elegiac and sparkling Gedichteabend.

SIC regularly hosts poetry nights for students and guests to motivate learning and give learners a chance to showcase their learned knowledge in the German language.

| Oktoberfest Activities |
Every October, SIC spends together with students, guests, teachers and staff, one merry evening to celebrate a typical German tradition, the Oktoberfest. Students get to perform either a traditional German folkdance, a famous German song or poem to highlight this event. Present during this Oktoberfest are also foreign guests from German-speaking countries who get to share with the students this merry celebration.
