Sprach Community ~ Outreach Program

The SOCIAL CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY of Sprach Institut-Cebu,Inc.

The Sprach Community is a Cebu-based organization working on assisting locals to attain a better future through sponsoring eduction, welfare and guidance through charitable contributions and public service from foreign-trained professionals, well-known global organizations and other charitable institutions. We also hope to enforce the use & idea amongst fellow Cebuanos of becoming more environmentally friendly through less energy consumption and use of more environmentally friendly energy sources like wind solar and/or water energy.

Project Lamdag
In cooperation with the President of AUFTRAG (Association of Filipinos Trained in Germany) Engr. Magdaleno Baclay Jr., the Sprach Community works towards providing additional energy service for the poor.
This goal will be attained by promotion of renewable and alternative energy, like solar or wind energy. This project will also develop local manufacturing of small wind turbines by self-help effort and through a possible network with DED, InWent, GTZ, foreign language institutions, the German Embassy and other institutions.

Project Agak
Miraflor is a grade school student hoping to make a difference in this world someday by wanting to be a qualified and proficient teacher. Being the 2nd oldest in a large but destitute family, she struggles to help out her kin towards attaining a better and brighter future. Without a mother and only an older sibling, her life could be better.
The Sprach Community has sponsored Miraflor's education since the 2nd grade already and will continue doing so until she graduates from college. Our program supplies her with all her neccessary school supplies, a adequate daily allowance and her yearly tuition fees; all which will assist her in gradually achieving the goals she is determined to achieve someday.

Launching of Sprach Community at the Royal Concourse
On October 18, 2008, Sprach Community held their offcial launching along with Sprach Institut-Cebu's annual celebration of the Oktoberfest and poetry night. The event was held at the Royal Concourse, Gorordo Avenue, Cebu City, Philippines. Many students and guests from DED, GTZ and AUFTRAG were present during this event to experience language and change in motion.
