Gedichteabend @ the Ambassador's Cafe
Due to popular demand, our school organized another German poetry night last August 7, 2010 at 5 PM. The venue this time was at the Ambassador’s Café situated at Corner Rosal & Tojong Street #168 in Camputhaw, Lahug, Cebu City. The night was quite spectacular as many students chose to render a song instead of a poem. The themes of poems ranged from very romantic to dramatic death. Present were also some foreign guests and visitors connected to the institute. The highlight of the evening was the rendtion of the famous poem by Goethe "Nähe des Geliebten" which was presented by the group A1-N26. View pictures >>

German Courses for Adults - Beginner Level
The German Basic Course A1 is a preparatory class for the Start Deutsch 1 language tests which are conducted jointly by the Goethe-Institut (GI) & Weiterbildungs-Testsysteme GmbH (WBT). This course also includes coaching classes which focus primarily on helping students pass the Start Deutsch 1 examinations. The entire course runs approximately 3 months with a total of 180 units.

Teachers' Training Seminar
The title of the seminar was: Lehrerfortbildung: Lerner aktivierender Deutschunterricht and was hosted by Stefan Häring. This two-day seminar was held at the City Garden Hotel in Makati, Manila from October 24-25, 2009 and was organized & sponsored by the Goethe Institut Philippines.

Updated Requirements for Visa Application:
As of September 2007, applicants of a German residence permit for family reunion or marriage in Germany must provide proof of basic knowledge of German. This can be produced through the certificate of the language examination "Start Deutsch 1" from the Goethe-Institut Manila.
